During the summer, many of Fairfield University's residence halls and apartment complexes are available for summer student housing as well as for overnight camps and conferences. Fairfield University, a Jesuit institution centrally located on the Connecticut shoreline, is an ideal place for undergraduate and graduate students to live while interning or working during the summer.
The campus is within one mile of I-95 and the Fairfield Metro North station, making it an easy commute to many locations like Norwalk, Stamford, and New Haven.
Summer residents can also take advantage of being just an hour away from New York City via public transportation or take weekend trips to Boston, Newport, and many other celebrated New England cities and towns.
Students are offered single bedrooms in shared apartments that can accommodate 4-8 students. Some of the many amenities include:
- Air-conditioned, furnished accommodations with kitchens
- Morning and evening shuttle service to and from the Metro North Fairfield train station
- 24-hour on-call support and security
- Free access to campus recreational facilities
- Cable television access with HBO
- Wireless and wired internet access
- Free Parking
- Free laundry facilities
All living rooms come furnished with a couch, coffee table, kitchen table, and chairs. Kitchens are equipped with a full-size refrigerator and oven. Bedrooms each contain a twin extra-long bed, wardrobe, dresser, desk, and chair.
To be eligible for internship housing, students must be either an undergraduate or graduate student at a university who has secured an internship or job for the summer months. Proof of employment and of student enrollment is required to confirm summer housing.
Housing is offered on a weekly basis starting Saturday, May 28, 2016 and ending Sunday, August 7, 2016. To be eligible, a minimum of four consecutive weeks must be reserved.
Housing is offered for $335 per week. This includes all utilities, air-conditioning, cable/internet access, and unlimited laundry. It also includes morning and evening shuttle service to the Metro North train station and an on-campus parking permit. The University's recreation complex is currently undergoing a major renovation and will be offline for summer 2016. Limited recreational facilities will be available on-campus and will be accessible for summer intern residents. A refundable security deposit of $250 is required and must be recieved two weeks prior to arrival.
Applications for summer intern housing are available via the online Summer Intern Housing request form. Note: This form is for non-Fairfield University students only.

A limited number of townhouses will be made available for visiting guests or families this summer. The townhouses are two-story units consisting of two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, dining area, a minimum of 1.5 bathrooms with an extra sink, and plenty of closet/storage space. Townhouses have central air conditioning, cable television access, and wired and wireless internet access.

For Fairfield University students taking classes, holding internships, or working in the area on-campus housing is available from Saturday, May 28, 2016 - Sunday, August 7, 2016.
Students will be housed in a 2-4 bedroom apartment or townhouse. Housing is available on a weekly basis (4-week minimum required) at the following rates:
Single Bedroom - $310 per week
Double Bedroom - $210 per week
