Interim Vice President for Advancement Dr. Mark C. Reed
Dr. Mark C. Reed '96 is currently serving as Interim Vice President for Advancement at Fairfield University. Additionally, Dr. Reed continues in his role as Senior Vice President for Administration and Chief of Staff.
As Interim Vice President for University Advancement, Dr. Reed oversees all alumni and development activities, including Alumni Relations, Constituent Relations, Corporate and Foundation Relations, Annual Giving, Major Gifts, and Planned Giving. The University Advancement team is charged with marshaling of philanthropic investments and volunteer leadership required to help support Fairfield mission and strategic objectives.
In addition to his current roles, Dr. Reed has served Fairfield in the past as both Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students. Prior to his career in higher education, Reed was a teacher, coach, and administrator at Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, MA, and St. Joseph's Prep in Philadelphia, PA. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Fairfield University, a M.Ed. Secondary Educational Administration from Boston College, an MBA from Fairfield, and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed both the ACJU's Ignatian Colleagues Program and Leadership Seminar, the Institute for Administrators in Catholic Higher Education at Boston College, and the Management Development Program at Harvard University's Institutes for Higher Education.
The University Advancement Division is a service component of the University which has as its mandate the marshalling of philanthropic investments and volunteer leadership required to help support the institution's strategic vision.
