The computer science program at Fairfield University focuses deeply on educating students on the workings of computer operations and the creation of advanced computer hardware, software and programming.
The undergraduate computer science program is offered as a B.A. and a B.S. degree, as well as a minor. A double major in mathematics and computer science is also offered.
The computer science program and its faculty are dedicated to giving each student a personal, challenging, and hands-on experience. Here, you learn the foundation of computer science, and are led through a curriculum focused on mathematic and scientific principles for solving computer problems and structures used in developing systems. Our program also includes additional components such as numerical analysis, programming languages, software engineering and computing theories.
Upon graduation, you are able to seek jobs that allow you to solve business and technological problems. Most find their careers in the health care, education, telecommunications and software publishing industries.
