Message from the Director
January 25, 2016
Fairfield University's Early Learning Center opened its doors in 2007 and has been providing day-care services to faculty, staff, alumni and community members ever since. The Early Learning Center was opened with the intent of providing educational opportunities to the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions students, as well as to provide a model curriculum for the children who attend the Center.
For the past year, the University has been exploring other service providers who can partner with us and work towards achieving both of these important outcomes based on experience and strong reputation in the field.
As a result, on Friday, January 15, 2016, the University notified Carousel Educational Services, the current operator of the Early Learning Center, that we were not renewing their contract. Their contract ends on July 1, 2016.
We are currently in active discussions with a new operator that we believe could provide an exceptional environment for children, as well as provide opportunities for partnership with the University's graduate programs.
