Reunion 2013 - Frequently Asked Questions
June 7-9, 2013
Registration for Reunion Weekend 2013 is open and is through the Fairfield University Alumni Online Community. Become a member by visiting www.fairfield.edu/alumnicommunity. You’ll need your Unique ID number to complete the process. You can find it on the mailing label or your Reunion invitation or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Final costs are listed on the registration page. Please note Reunion Weekend is not a fundraiser for the University. We do make an effort to contain costs as much as possible to accommodate all budgets without compromising the activities that we offer.
CONFIRMATION AND TICKETS
No tickets are mailed. You will receive a confirmation of your registration through e-mail. Be sure to include your preferred e-mail address if submitting your registration via fax. Tickets and registration packets must be picked up on campus Friday and/or Saturday of Reunion under the name of the alum who registered.
The deadline for all reservations is May 24, 2013. Walk-in registrations can be accommodated on a first-come/first-served basis. Please note that on-campus housing, Friday class receptions and Saturday evening dinner dances have been known to sell-out. Please plan to register in advance.
May 20 is the deadline for exclusive Reunion Weekend 2013 T-Shirts! T-shirts will not be available for purchase at Reunion, so be sure to purchase one when you register for the weekend.
Refunds will be made for cancellations made by noon on May 24, 2013. We cannot accommodate refunds after this date.
Modifications to your Reunion Registration can be made by calling the Office of Alumni Relations at (203) 254-4280.
The Annual Fun Run/Walk around campus has become a Reunion tradition! This 3-mile course takes you around the campus to kick-off our Reunion Weekend. Children are welcome to participate. Please note our Fun Run does take place rain or shine. This course is not an official 5k course.
REUNION WEEKEND MASSES
For those wishing to attend weekend Mass service, a special Reunion Weekend Mass, celebrated by President Jeffrey von Arx, S.J. will take place at 5:30 p.m. at Egan Chapel of St. Ignatius Loyola on Saturday afternoon. Additionally, regularly scheduled Sunday Mass will take place in the Chapel at 9:30
SATURDAY NIGHT DINNER PARTIES
The 5th-35th Reunion Classes will celebrate their Reunion Dinner under the tent on the Great Lawn of Bellarmine Hall. There is no assigned or reserved seating for this event. Tables are in class sections and consist of 10 seats per table.
The 40th and 45th Reunion Classes will celebrate in a special dinner at the Dolan School of Business Dining Room with Fairfield University President Rev. Jeffrey P. von Arx, S.J. Again, there is no assigned or reserved seating for this event. Tables are by class year and consist of 8-10 seats per table.
Saturday Day Activities: Casual weather-related attire (please note, much of Saturday programming is held outside rain or shine).
Evening Cocktail Receptions & Dinner Dances: Springtime evening cocktail/”summer wedding” attire is recommended. For the ladies celebrating on Bellarmine Lawn, we also recommend a sweater or wrap and moderate heels or flats. These are adult only events.
On-campus housing is assigned on a class seniority basis. Due to ongoing housing renovations and campus construction housing is subject to change at any time. We will notify you if any changes do occur to housing after registration.
Housing is extremely limited and is only available for alumni and guests attending/pre-registered for the events on campus on Friday and Saturday evening. Room-only reservations will NOT be accepted. We regret we cannot provide overnight accommodations for children.
Many alumni attend reunion without a spouse or a guest. Please plan ahead to find a roommate or if necessary, one will be assigned to you. For parties whose roommate requests exceed the accommodations of their rooms (i.e., 3 guests per 2-bed room), we will do our best to house you near each other.
When packing to stay on campus, please remember that campus housing contains only the basics. Linens, towels, blankets, and pillows will be provided. You may want to bring along alarm clocks, hangers, extra blankets, and extra towels.
Handicapped accessible housing is available for every class. Please indicate your need on your registration form and/or by calling the Office of Alumni Relations at (203) 254-4280.
