- Join Comm.Unity, the Communication Department's Student Club!
Run by communication majors, Comm.Unity's main objective is to network, network, network! In words of the club's president for the 07-08 academic year, Kate Dillon, "This year's club already has some exciting events lined up in the next months, including our own peer advising night, an internship panel and a new event that will feature recent grads within the major who will discuss their experiences in their first year post-graduation. In conjunction with the faculty, the club also recognizes the importance obtaining an internship. This is an exciting, albeit daunting process and Comm.Unity aims to makes this process easier and more successful by helping students network with their peers who have already completed internships, as well as with companies who have previously employed Fairfield students. Fairfield communication majors have had some exciting opportunities in the past and this semester is no different. Recent internships have included MTV, FOX News, Live with Regis and Kelly and Streetmarc Advertising & Marketing. This year's officers, with the help of club adviser Dr. David Gudelunas, are excited about the upcoming year and will work hard to ensure that the communication club will be as successful as it was last year."
