Dolan Graduate Business Association (DGBA)


The Dolan Graduate Business Association (DGBA) at Fairfield University aims to improve and enrich the experience of graduate students, alumni, faculty, and administrative staff. The DGBA strives to build successful business leaders and enhance the reputation of the Dolan School of Business. Within the student body, throughout the alumni network, and in the business community, the DGBA is dedicated to developing business skills and intellectual talents of graduate students through:

  • Activities
  • Student clubs
  • Social events
  • Networking opportunities

In addition, the association serves as a conduit for community members interested in the resources and business opportunities available through the Dolan School of Business.

For the 2008-09 academic year, the DGBA has focused on building and maintaining a vibrant graduate community where character is strengthened and friendships are formed through a passion and desire to serve the local community.

2009-10 Dolan Graduate Business Association (DGBA) Officers

President - James LiVolsi
The President will be responsible for the continuous development and continuation of the DGBA Net Impact Chapter. The President will maintain communication with Fairfield University and Net Impact Central to align the objectives of the chapter with the objectives of both organizations.

VP of Net Impact Affairs - Tara Merlone
The VP of Net Impact Affairs will help coordinate Net Impact specific initiatives, such as campus greening and service corps. This person will maintain relationships with non profit organizations, and will help make arrangements for members that wish to participate in Net Impact programs.

VP of Service - Stephanie Cziria
The Service Event Coordinator will coordinate various events that the DGBA sponsors. The DGBA will coordinate at least six events during the academic year.

VP of Marketing - Melissa Skidd
The VP of Marketing will seek and collect feedback from all Graduate Students. The VP of Marketing will work with the other officers to tailor the DGBA to the needs of the Graduate Student Body.

VP of Public Relations - Lauren Koster
The VP of Public Relations will create newsletters and other forms of communications to broadcast out to the students, alumni, and other key members of the Fairfield University community. This person also maintains content on websites and social networking groups such as Facebook and Linked In.
