Data/Systems Analyst, Academic Affairs

The Data/Systems Analyst will gather, synthesize, analyze, and present data from multiple systems/sources and make recommendations for expanded or new systems when appropriate as well as provide website support to the Office of Academic Affairs. A Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or a related field is required and a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in data analysis and/or data management is preferred. Knowledge of Banner is preferred and must have experience preparing/monitoring operational, capital and/or personnel budgets and other types of databases. Self motivated, strong organizational skills and strong independent critical-thinking and analytical skills are necessary. Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, organize, and communicate complex and sensitive financial and other data clearly and accurately to both financial and non-financial individuals. Ability to structure and perform complex financial models and data queries to support strategic planning, decisions, and practices. Proven ability to be resourceful in finding solutions to problems and capacity to handle multiple assignments with minimal supervision while adhering to critical deadlines. Must have professional maturity and astuteness demonstrated by tact, diplomacy, confidentiality, and discretion. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate mutually beneficial relationships are essential. Must be a strong individual contributor as well as a high-performing team member within Academic Affairs and across the university. Excellent verbal, written, facilitation, presentation and instruction/teaching skills combined with the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively at all levels of management in a professional manner, as well as university-wide. Director, Computing & Network Services

Fairfield University is seeking an experienced Information Technology manager to be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Computing & Network Services department. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of hiring, training and supervising Computing and Network Services staff; managing and developing budgets for the various components of IT Services, and maintaining state of the art instructional technology and networking innovations in an academic environment.

A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related business field is required. A Master's degree in a similar field of study is highly desirable.

Position requires a minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience in the field of information systems, with at least five years of experience in an academic environment. Must demonstrate a working knowledge of academic, instructional and administrative computing; possess excellent communication skills, maintain a mentoring management style; and be a motivated self-starter. The ideal candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students and various other campus constituents by fostering an excellent customer service program and timely response to inquiries and service needs.

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures appropriate for a technical support field is necessary, especially the availability of new hardware and technology. The individual we seek must be a strong decision maker, capable of providing creative strategies in response to the IT needs of the entire campus, and influencing major technology decisions and direction of the department and university.

Director of Health Center

The selected Director will implement, plan and develop student health services and manage the Health Center staff. Working with Medical Director, medical doctors and nurse practitioners in providing on-site treatment to students is required. This includes outreach education, planning and developing Student Health Center’s policies, procedures and services as well as overseeing budget application. A State of Connecticut R.N. license is required and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. A minimum of three to five years of medical, nursing or health related experience is required of which, five years must be administrative experience. Experience in a college or university health service is highly desirable. Demonstrated verbal, written and supervisory skills are necessary. CPR certification is required. Office Support Positions

Project Assistant, ELDER Project, School of Nursing (part-time, temporary, grant funded)

This position is responsible for assisting the Project Director with running the ELDER Project. A Master's degree in Nursing is required and clinical experience in working with older adults is preferred. Knowledge about best practices in the care of older adults, teaching experience and strong organizational and interpersonal skills are a must. Employment is contingent upon grant funding.
