Foundation Relations
The Office of Foundation Relations manages the relationships between Fairfield University and private (non-corporate) philanthropic foundations. The office serves as a point of strategic coordination for the academic vice president, deans, faculty, and staff considering funding from private foundation sources. The goal is to increase foundation grants made to Fairfield for:
- Research
- Academic projects
- Scholarships
- Professorships
- Technology and equipment
- Community outreach
- The arts
The Office of Foundation Relations works closely with the Offices of Corporate Relations, Government Relations, and Research to maximize funding opportunities for Fairfield's priority projects.
Private Foundation Support
The funding interests established by private foundations for support to higher education target priorities that can significantly advance the work of an institution.
These designated funding priorities combined with a foundation's cumulative years of experience supporting a specified area provide valuable information as Fairfield considers funding opportunities.
Foundation support of Fairfield has resulted in an impressive history of accomplishments. Funding opportunities serve as a catalyst for project development, build momentum for priority initiatives, and encourage support from other sources.
