Fairfield University Wireless Network Instructions

Welcome to Fairfield University!

You are currently connected to our Wireless Help network.

The Wireless Help network is solely intended to provide information about connecting to Fairfield University's wireless networks. While connected to the Wireless Help network, you will be unable to browse the internet.

The various Fairfield University wireless networks are each intended for different members of our communities. Please refer to the section below to determine how you should connect.

If you have questions, please contact the ITS4U Help Desk at ext. 4069 for assistance.

For Students using laptops, desktops, tablets or smartphones:

  1. Please connect to the STUDENT-S Wireless Network.
  2. When prompted for a security key, enter Fairfield (please note that the key is case-sensitive).
  3. If you have previously registered with Bradford Network Sentry, you will be able to browse the web immediately. If you have not previously registered with Bradford Network Sentry, open a web browser and go to any web page.
  4. You will be redirected to the Fairfield University Network Registration page. Please follow the prompts to register your device.

For Faculty, Staff and Non-Employees with a NetID who are using laptops, desktops or tablets:

  1. Connect to the FACSTAFF-S Wireless Network.
  2. When prompted for a security key, enter Fairfield (please note that the key is case-sensitive).
  3. Open a web-browser and go to any web page.
  4. You will be redirected to our Authentication Page. Enter your NetID and password.
  5. Press Submit.
  6. You will be directed to the website news.fairfield.edu. You are now connected to our Wireless Network!

For Faculty, Staff and Non-Employees with a NetID who are using smartphones:

  1. You will need to register your device through the Information Technology Services' Help Desk prior to connecting to your device. This registration must only be completed once. Please call the ITS Help Desk at ext. 4069 and ask to register your device on the FacStaff Mobile Network.
  2. Once registered, connect to the FACSTAFF-MOBILE-S Wireless Network.
  3. When prompted for a security key, enter Fairfield (please note that the key is case-sensitive).

For Guests of Fairfield University who do not fall into the above categories:

Please note that the Guest network is not available in all campus locations and has limited functionality.

  1. Connect to the GUEST-S Wireless Network.
  2. When prompted for a security key, enter Fairfield (please note that the key is case-sensitive).
  3. Press Submit.

You will be directed to the website news.fairfield.edu.
