CFR's Academic Conference Call series provides students the opportunity to interact with a CFR fellow, Foreign Affairs author, or another expert in an hour-long teleconferenced discussion. Calls take place every other week during each semester and are dedicated to different topics related to international affairs and U.S. foreign policy. Experts in a variety of fields provide a short briefing and then take questions from Fairfield and other universities around the world. Soup will be provided. Red Cross Training (Register for this event)

The Red Cross Shelter training is an instruction-led, course designed to give participants an overview of the American Red Cross policies and procedures for setting up, running and closing a shelter during a disaster, such as the shelters that were set-up during Hurricane Sandy. Upon completion of the course, participants will be trained to volunteer at shelters following an emergency. Pizza will be served. Space is limited. Email kparkinson@fairfield.edu to register.
