15's Flashback

Senior Week is a week-long program that offers the graduating class opportunities to strengthen friendships, reflect on their years together at Fairfield, and to celebrate their accomplishments as they prepare for the future. The year's Senior Week will consist of eight (8) different events that happen both on and off campus. This year's theme is 15's Flashback, where the class of 2015 gets immersed in shows, foods, music and memories of their childhood! These events will be taking place from Sunday May 10th - Saturday May 16th with Commencement being on the morning of Sunday, May 17th at 9:30 am.

Senior Week Schedule:

  • Mass for Class of 2015: Come together to worship and receive a special blessing as you get ready to start a new chapter of your life. All members of the Class of 2015 are welcome. Fr. George E. Collins, S.J., will be presider.

                 Date: Sunday, May 10                

                 Time: 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.

                 Location: Egan Chapel of St. Ignatius

                 Dress: Snappy Casual

  • Senior Soiree: School's Out: Gather with members in the Fairfield playground as you think back to your elementary school days, recess and school yard competitions. The Class of 2015 Manor Yearbook will also be dedicated to an influential Fairfield community member!

                 Date: Monday, May 11

                 Time: 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

                 Location: Barone Campus Center Oak Room & Patio

                 Includes: Light hors d’oeuvres, three (3) drink tickets, and unlimited soft drinks.

                 Dress: Snappy Casual

  • Service Day: Service Baby, One More Time: This day of service gives you an opportunity to be “men and women for others.” Food trucks will meet you at the off-campus site for a fantastic lunch. - SOLD OUT!

                 Date: Tuesday, May 12

                 Time: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Buses depart 10:30 a.m. from Alumni Hall, Rain or Shine)

                 Location: Undisclosed

                 Includes: Transportation, lunch and a free T-Shirt!

                 Dress: Relaxed, closed toe shoes

  • Stag Night: TRL, A Night of Throwback Music: Dance and sing the night away to your favorite hits from MTV’s Total Request Live countdown! 

                 Date: Tuesday, May 12

                 Time: 9 p.m.  – 1 a.m.

                 Location: Barone Campus Center Oak Room and Patio

                 Includes: Light hors d’oeuvres, live band entertainment, fire pits, three (3) drink vouchers & unlimited soft drinks.

                 Dress: Snappy Casual

  • Commencement Ball: A Night So Sweet, It Can’t Be Beat: Travel off-campus and satisfy your sweet tooth as you dance through a land of candy necklaces, pixy sticks and baby bottle pops!

                Date: Wednesday, May 13

                Time: 7 p.m. – 12 midnight (Buses depart at 5:30 p.m. from Alumni Hall)

                Location: Undisclosed

                Includes: Transportation, buffet dinner, dancing, DJ and cash bar.

                Dress: Semiformal

                *In order to participate in this event, students must take transportation provided.

  • Senior Picnic: Legends of the Hidden Temple: Head back in time to an off-campus location filled with lost treasures. Try to get past the mysterious temple guards as you partake in recreational activities like canoeing, swimming, rock climbing, mini-golf, egg-toss and pie-eating contests.

                 Date: Thursday, May 14

                 Time: 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. (Buses departs Alumni Hall at noon, Rain or Shine)

                 Location: Undisclosed

                 Includes: Transportation, unlimited food, drinks (beer & wine) & recreational activities

                 Dress: Relaxed (Bring bathing suit if desired)

  • Reception & Hypnotist Show: Flashback Friday: You will be thoroughly entertained by Jim Spinnato, one of the funniest and most requested Comedy Stage Hypnotists, regularly featured at Foxwoods Casino! Jim’s amazing combination of comedy, hypnosis and audience participation will flash you back to the days of laughing until you cry! 

                 Date: Friday, May 15

                 Time: 4 p.m. Reception, with show from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.  

                 Location: Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts

                 Includes: Light hors d’oeuvres, two (2) drink tickets, and unlimited soft drinks.

                 Dress: Snappy Casual

  • Family Dance: Sitcom Saturday: Oldies but Goodies: Reminisce with family and friends as you take a look back at some of your favorite television original movies, cartoons and shows from growing up. 

                Date: Saturday, May 16

                Time: 8 p.m. - 12 midnight

                Location: Barone Campus Center

                Includes: Four levels of live band entertainment, unlimited hors d’oeuvres, desserts, wine, beer & soft drinks.

                Dress: Snappy Casual

Vintage Senior Week Sweatshirts are available for purchase for $35

Senior Week DVD

Senior Week DVD's capture footage from the entire week's events and can be yours for $20. These can be purchased by visting the Senior Week Marketplace. DVD's will be mailed over the summer to the mailing address provided. Please email thomas.dipirro@fairfield.edu of the Media Center with any questions. 

Senior Week Transportation

  • Tuesday, May 12: Service buses depart for Service at 10:30 a.m. from Alumni Hall.
  • Tuesday, May 12: Stag Night shuttles will run to/from Lantern Point and the Barone Campus Center starting at 8:45 p.m., with the last shuttle leaving campus at 1:15 a.m.
  • Wednesday, May 13: On-campus Commencement Ball buses depart Alumni Hall at 5:30 p.m. / Beach resident Commencement Ball buses depart Veterans Park at 5:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 14: On-campus Picnic buses depart Alumni Hall at Noon. / Beach resident Picnic buses depart Veterans Park at Noon.
  • Friday, May 15: Beach resident pick up departs Veterans Park at 3:30 p.m. Following the show, busses will depart Quick Center at 7 p.m. to return to Veterans Park. 
  • Saturday, May 16: Family Dance shuttles will run to/from Lantern Point and the Barone Campus Center starting at 7:30 p.m., with the last shuttle leaving campus at 12:15 a.m. There will also be campus shuttles running from the Townhouses, Dolan, Village and Quick Center parking lots to the Barone Campus Center throughout the event.

Important Notes

  • Tickets can be purchased online at Senior Week Marketplace. You will receive an email when your tickets are available for pickup. StagCard must be presented when picking up your order.
  • You will reieve a separate email when your sweatshirt is ready for pick-up. 
  • If you need to pay in cash or check, please come to Student Programs & Leadership Development in the Barone Campus Center, Rm 94 between the hours of 8:30 am - 4:30 pm with your StagCard. 
  • All sales are final. No refunds will be permitted.
  • All events will take place, rain or shine.
  • In order to participate in off-campus events, students must take transportation provided.
  • Off-campus events will have two pick up locations. Alumni Hall for residential students and Veteran’s Park for beach residents.
  • Ticket purchases are non-refundable.
  • Commencement Ball & Hypnotist may sell out, please make sure to purchase your tickets early if you would like to be guaranteed a ticket.
  • Guest tickets are available for Commencement Ball (1) and Hypnotist & Family Dance (unlimited) only.
  • Family Dance tickets can also be bought at the door, on the night of the event.

Student Life Financial Assistance Program

Fairfield University does not want a student’s experience to be impacted because they cannot afford to participate in a program. The Student Life Financial Assistance Program, assists students who may not have the financial means to attend or participate in University sponsored events, programs, or opportunities.

Students that requested assistance will find out about their requests during the week of April 20th.

Where do I purchase my Senior Week Tickets?

A: Senior week tickets can be purchased online on the Fairfield website at www.fairfield.edu/seniorweek

When do Pre-sale tickets purchases end?

A: Pre-Sale Ticket Purchases ends April 10, 2015 at 11:59 PM

When do regular ticket sales start?

A: Regular Ticket Sales begin: Tuesday, April 15 - May 1

Are there limited tickets for any of the events?

A: Yes; Service Day is currently sold out at 140 tickets. Commencement Ball & Hypnotist may sell out, be sure to purchase tickets early.

What are the benefits of Pre-Sale Ticket Purchases?

A: The overall savings of buying a complete package is a savings of $45

If I cannot make an event, can I get a refund?

A: All sales are final, no refunds, so please plan accordingly.

How many tickets can I purchase for family dance?

A: There is no limit to the amount of tickets that can be purchased for family dance.

Can I purchase tickets for family dance at the door?

Yes, tickets will be available at the door, the night of. Children under the age of 10 do not need a ticket.

Can I purchase tickets for family and friends for the Reception & Hypnotist Show?

Yes, Seniors may purchase tickets for the friends and families for this particular event.

Will events be canceled if there is bad weather?

A: Events will take place, rain or shine.

Is there anything required for me to bring to each event?

A: Legal ID & event ticket are required for entrance and alcohol consumption. If you do decide to bring bags they will be checked. Failure to comply with these regulations will result in non-entry to all events.

Can I use my own mode of transportation to get to the off-campus events?

A: To participate in off-campus events, students must take transportation provided from one of two pick up locations. Alumni Hall for residential & commuter students and Veteran’s Park for Beach residents.

Where do I pick up my Senior week tickets?

A: Tickets can be picked up from Student Programs & Leadership Development, located in the Barone Campus Center, Suite 094, Lower Level beginning April 15th to May 5th (Mondays thru Fridays 8:30am-4:30pm).

Where do I pick up my Senior week sweatshirt?

A: You will receive an email when your sweatshirt is available for pick up. They will be picked up from Student Programs & Leadership Development, located in the Barone Campus Center, Suite 094, Lower Level (Mondays thru Fridays 8:30am-4:30pm).

When do I receive my Senior Week DVD?

A: Your Senior Week DVD will be sent to your permanent address and received within a few weeks of graduation. Please e-mail thomas.dipirro@fairfield.edu with any questions.

Commencement Tickets

 Each family is granted 5 tickets for your family and friends for the 65 Commencement. These are available for pick up Monday, April 20th - Friday, April 24 between 8:30 and 4:30pm in the Registrar’s Office in the Kelley Center. Besides the outdoor seating, there is also seating in the Quick Center and the BCC for family and friends to watch the ceremony on closed circuit TV and no ticket is required. A Fairfield ID or driver’s license is required to pick up  your tickets. To pick up tickets, you must have completed the online senior survey sponsored by Career Planning.
