Knights of Columbus
Welcome! We are the Knights of Columbus Ignatian Council #4203 of Fairfield University.
The Knights of Columbus is the largest Catholic fraternal organization in the world, with over 1.8 million members. Through faith, friendship, and fellowship, we reach out to our communities and to our nation to help those in need and to serve the Lord. Our goals include spreading the work and Word of God, sharing the fellowship of our brother Knights, and strengthening the Pro-Life movement.
Who can be a Knight?
- 18 years of age or older
- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Roman Catholic Church
There are three steps that must be completed in order to join the Knights of Columbus. There is an application, an interview and then the first-degree ceremony. Feel free to contact Campus Minister Gregory Vigliotta if you are interested!
Faith - We are first and foremost a Catholic men's organization helping brother knights to grow in their faith around the world. We invite men to experience the many different cultures within Catholicism and to embrace their Catholic identity.
Service - As part of a larger worldwide organization dedicated to serving our communities, we offer hospitality weekly at our evening liturgies, volunteer our time at local service projects in the greater Bridgeport area, and support campus wide events such as Hunger Clean-Up and Relay for Life.
Fraternity - What would a men's organization be without paintball, laser tag, BBQs, bowling, more? We dedicate our time and energy to growing our faith and serving our community, and then relax from the demands of schoolwork by hosting some of our favorite activities!
