Food Allergies

Fairfield University has resources available to assist students with food allergies.

The University recognizes allergic reactions to food are an important health issue. We are asking incoming students to review the checklist below and to carefully follow each directive.

These anticipatory health guidelines will help assure a safe transition to on-campus dining and community living.

Allergy Injection Clinic

Our Allergy Injection Clinic is available for students who are under immunotherapy as prescribed by their private physicians. The Allergy Injection Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. No appointment is necessary. No allergy injections are given on the weekends or times outside of those listed. We do require students to wait 20 minutes after each injection.

The Health Center is located at the back of Dolan Hall. To contact the Health Center call (203) 254-4000 ext. 2241. Health care is provided by a staff of nurse practitioners and registered nurses with doctor's appointments available by referral from the nurse practitioner.
