|
This course is designed to follow FM 11 - The Art and Language of Film (which is a prerequisite to this course for film majors), and is a required course for film majors. As an application course it focuses in depth on the three stages of filmmaking - preproduction, production and post-production. Students learn how to use camera and editing equipment to tell a visual story, while learning the production details of filmmaking. Several small projects lead up to production of a short film. The course fulfills an application requirement in the visual and performing arts core. Three credits.
