New Media letter CRA11 - Art and Language of Radio

This course introduces the theoretical, creative, and practical world of radio broadcast and production. The overview traces the development of technology, programming, and radio management and radio’s links to theatre, film, and television. Students consider the future of radio, including digital transmission and satellite radio. This course is required for students majoring in the radio track of the New Media Film, Television and Radio program and is a prerequisite for all production courses in the major or minor. It fulfills a visual and performing arts core requirement in history. Three credits.
