"The Accident"

On Wednesday April 23, 2003, the Fairfield University Department of Public Safety, in conjunction with the Fairfield Police Department, the Fairfield Fire Department, American Medical Response (AMR), Life Star, and the Fairfield University Student Association (FUSA), presented a mock accident.

"The accident" was a staged motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles. The driver who caused the accident was operating under the influence of alcohol. A passenger in one of the vehicles was 'killed' in the accident and several others injured. The "accident" was designed to increase student awareness to the dangers of drunk driving.
