Message from the Director
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the home page of the Fairfield University Department of Public Safety.
The Fairfield University Department of Public Safety is a proprietary organization with primary responsibilities in personal safety, criminal investigations, emergency medical care, and traffic/parking enforcement. We provide a wide range of services as a highly visible Public Safety Agency. These services include, but are not limited to 24 hours safety escorts, motor vehicle assists, crime prevention, R.A.D. (rape aggression defense), and emergency medical services. We strive to be "service oriented" which sets us apart from the traditional roles of security.
The Department of Public Safety contributes to the mission goals of Fairfield University both in spirit and in deed, through its policies, practices and actions. We welcome comments or suggestions that will assist our agency in improving our committment to those we serve.
Fairfield University has implemented an emergency notification system called Connect-ED, which by utilizing text messaging, voice mail, and e-mail, disseminatezs critical information fast and efficiently to members of the university community.
