Fairfield University Sailing

Welcome to the newest Sport Club at Fairfield University

The Sailing Club is a competitive sailing team captaining a fleet of six Vanguard Flying Juniors.

The Team is comprised of advanced and novice sailors, who compete all over New-England as members of New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association and Intercollegiate Sailing Association.

Sailing Season

Fall - September through October
Spring - March through April

Schedule

* All regattas take place over the weekend.

What will I need to sail at Fairfield?

1) A positive attitude.
2) Coast Guard approved PFD (life jacket).
3) Recommended, but not required - "Spray gear", dinghy boots and gloves.
4) A dry-suit is a must for really cold water. The team can direct you in these purchases, as there is often a discount for college sailors.
