Internships

Credit internships are available to all students who want to enhance their expertise in a variety of fields, including art, business, international studies, and more. This opportunity provides hands-on work experience and an immersion into the Australian workplace. Students should expect to devote approximately 10 hours per week to their internship assignment and related work.

When applying for an internship, you'll submit a list of three possible placement types. ACU will then work to secure and supervise an appropriate internship for you. Internships are available in a wide variety of areas.

Upon arrival in Brisbane, students interview for internship placement. Sample placements have included: Nudgee Beach Environmental Center, MS Society of Queensland, Wesley Hospital, Golf Management News, Basketball Queensland, as well as law offices, financial planners, and marketing firms. Once your placement has been assigned, you will work in collaboration with the internship coordinator, a faculty sponsor and a workplace supervisor to ensure a meaningful, quality internship.
