Members of the Orientation Board participated in the 2nd Annual Relay for Life, hosted by the American Cancer Society and the Colleges Against Cancer student organization on campus. Together, the Orientation Board was able to raise over $1,300 to donate, which earned them the rank of the 3rd largest donation by a student group! Only Colleges Against Cancer and Alpha Mu Gamm, the National Foreign Language Honor Society, ranked higher.

Megan Steel '08, President of Colleges Against Cancer and Chairperson for the Relay for Life at Fairfield University, commented on the Orientation Board's participation in the May 1st edition of The Mirror, Fairfield's student newspaper. "The largest registered team was Fairfield Athletics, however, if there were an award for most enthusiastic and upbeat it would go to O-Board {Orientation Board}."
