Parents' Online Handbook:
Student Activities and Facilities

Travelin' Max Show

In addition to the education that is going on in the classroom, much learning occurs through involvement in extracurricular activities. There is a wide range of activities in which students can get involved. The Office of Student Activities and Facilities is the hub for all recognized organizations on-campus and serves as a resource to members of those organizations.

Joining an organization or two is the best way for students to ease their transition from high school to college. It is tough to go from being the senior who knows the ropes to a first-year in a totally new environment. Students who join organizations during the first few weeks of school meet tons of new people and can form relationships with upper-class students who can help them navigate this new environment.
