Admissions

Undergraduate Students
Applications for the Traditional BSN program are evaluated by the Office of Admission. Students who declare a nursing major are accepted directly into the School of Nursing in their first year. Traditional BSN and Full-time Transfer applicants click here.

Adult Learners

RN Students
Registered nurse students may earn advanced placement in the nursing major for a maximum of 30-34 credits. Advanced placement is awarded for most students through the articulation agreement among nursing programs. The RN to BS in nursing program individualizes learning experiences for completion of the degree. RN applicants click here to download application information.

Second Degree Students
For students who have earned a bachelor's degree in another field, the school offers an accelerated program leading to a BS in nursing. Upon completion of prerequisite courses, students matriculate and complete degree requirements in approximately 15 months. A total of 60 credits must be earned after the first degree is awarded. Students must complete all prerequisite and non-nursing courses prior to admission. All students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.8 or higher and earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher in prerequisite courses. Second-degree applicants click here to download application information.

Part-time Students
A program of study for individuals without a bachelor's degree allows students to pursue a career in nursing either full- or part-time. All students must have a minimum GPA of 2.80 to declare a nursing major. Students matriculate after the completion of 12 credits to continue in the nursing curriculum.
