During the check-in time, there will be two prayer services offered.

University Welcome
Students and families will be welcomed to Fairfield University and receive an overview of the schedule and logistics as well as be introduced to the Orientation Team.
11:50 a.m.-12:20 p.m.
Orientation Group Meeting and Group Pictures
Students will meet their New Student Leader (NSL) and experience group bonding activities to get to know each other.
12:30 p.m.-1:40 p.m.
The Fairfield Experience: The Integration of Living and Learning
Students discover what it means to live and learn in an academic community by listening to faculty, staff, and students discuss the Core Curriculum, our institutional commitment to educating the whole person, and the difference a Jesuit education can make in the life of the mind.

Honors Lunch
Students admitted to the Honors Program will meet with faculty and fellow students over lunch. Please note Honors students will not meet for lunch with their Orientation group.

Academic Planning Overview/Informal Faculty Time
In Orientation groups, students will spend some time meeting a faculty member at Fairfield University. This is the chance to ask ANY questions about classroom life, faculty support and expectations of students, and anything else you would like to know about our faculty. In addition, students will understand the academic components of Orientation and become aware of academic expectations at Fairfield University. Additionally, students will be introduced to the Core Curriculum and examples of ways to use it to shape their academic journey.
Academic Planning by Colleges and Schools
Advising Sessions
Students will join the Deans' staffs from Fairfield's four undergraduate colleges and schools to discuss curriculum, requirements, and policies relating to their academic interests. Academic advising facilitators will assist students in beginning to build fall course schedules in preparation for registration on Day 2. Students will learn more about Cornerstone courses and FYE seminars, and can resolve any language and math placement questions.

Family Community Prayer Service
Families of the Class of 2017 are invited to join together as a community at a special Mass Service.
Reflective Walk
Students and families are invited to experience this self-directed opportunity to reflect on the start of an important life journey. Participants will be, in St. Ignatius' words, "contemplatives in action."
6 p.m.
Goodbye to Parent/Guardian(s) for the Rest of the Night

Fairfield Vision & Orientation Troupe Performance
Students join Orientation Leaders and representatives from various offices and departments on campus as they discuss the intersections between living and learning, diversity, and engagement as a Fairfield student.
9:45 p.m.-10:45 p.m.
Travelin' Max + Movie Trivia Contest (June 18 session only)
This event is a Fairfield tradition that has to be seen to be believed. Giveaways, music, and fun are hallmarks of Max's performance that keep him on the Orientation schedule year after year.
PLAYFAIR (June 24 session only)
PLAYFAIR is totally unlike anything else students have experienced. It's entertainment! It's fun! It's the perfect way to make new campus friendships!
11 p.m.-11:30 p.m.
Wrap up the Day at our Social in Orientation Groups
Students take a break and reflect on the day with Orientation Leaders.
11:45 p.m.-1:15 a.m.
Fairfield Quest
Do you have what it takes? This is the late night event at Fairfield Orientation students DO NOT want to miss. Free sunglasses will be given away.
Day 2 (June 19 & June 25)
8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Room Key & Swipe Card Check-out
Students must return keys and swipes to the key table on the ground floor of their Residence Hall or directly to the Office of Residence, located in the lower level of the Barone Campus Center Room 96. All keys and swipes must be received before leaving campus today. If students have questions ask the NSLs or the students at the key table located in the residence halls.

Athletics Breakfast Session for Parent(s)/Guardian(s) and Varsity Student-Athletes
Student-athletes and families are invited to join the Varsity Athletics Session to learn more about being a Division I athlete.

Campus Culture
What is life really like at Fairfield outside the classroom? What are students involved in, and what is the culture like? Karen Donoghue, Dean of Students, and the New Student Leaders Chairs will give students a glimpse of what to expect once they arrive in September.

Academic Registration
Now that students have discussed what courses to take, they will register online via my.Fairfield. Faculty, staff, and students are available in each computer lab to help through the process. Please note that students must come with their Orientation group during the time block assigned. Students must also bring their academic planning sheet from Day 1 to assist with the registration process.
When not registering, students may attend sessions with their parent/guardian(s), visit the Information Fair in the Oak Room, or meet with their Orientation Leader. Remember to attend the important closing meeting.

StagCard Photos
Students can stop at the StagCard office to have their photo taken. Students can also do this when they arrive on campus in the fall.

Residence Hall Show Rooms
See a typical Residence Hall Room. Visit Regis Hall Room 13 and Campion Hall Room 105. Residence Life staff will be present to answer questions.
