Whether you are interested in having your personal property appraised or want to learn about the appraisal process and the steps necessary to become an accredited appraiser, this day-long workshop offers a comprehensive overview of decorative and fine art appraisal. Participants will become familiar with the accreditation process of appraisers and learn about the different forms of appraisal - whether it be for an estate, donations, insurance coverage, or claims as well as property division. Professional appraisal standards will be discussed and the steps for hiring an appraiser will also be reviewed.

University College offers this workshop (the first of a series) in collaboration with the American Society of Appraisers.

Sandra Tropper is an Accredited Senior Appraiser, Fine Art, of the American Society of Appraisers. Owner of Artemis, Inc., Sandra has been a fine art appraiser, consultant, and art dealer in the Washington, D.C. area for 25 years.
