There is never a dull moment at Fairfield University. There are year-round activities that will satisfy whatever interests you have.

On-campus recreation is wide and popular. Activities include seeing Broadway shows, Yankee baseball games, even pumpkin picking, dances, and more. There is always an on-campus activity scheduled for every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night.

At the campus center, is the game room. The game room contains pool tables, ping pong tables, foosball tables, and televisions. It is open to all students and is completely free.

There is also the on-campus bar, the Levee. The Levee houses Mike's Pizzeria, which serves an assortment of Italian food. For those over the age of 21, the Levee provides a safe environment to have a drink and share some good times with friends. Activities such as trivia night, darts championships, and costume contests take place at the Levee.

Student clubs and organizations sponsor many different activities throughout the year. There are ski trips, Model UN conferences, tours of New York’s Chinatown, volunteering opportunities and many other activities.

BilliardsFor those interested in sports, it is very easy to get involved. You can join one of the 19 Division 1 teams, or play in a team club for fun. If you just want to get together with friends and play anything from soccer and tennis to football and hockey, you can join the intramural sport leagues in which 65% of the student body participates.

 

New York City also provides an endless amount of entertainment. Sightseeing, restaurants, museums, and nightlife in New York are among the most renowned in the world. The city is about an hour away by train!
