Athletic Grants in Aid
In recognition of first-year applicants who have excelled academically while in high school, Fairfield University offers an extensive merit scholarship program. All qualified applicants will be considered for a scholarship. Typically, recipients have above 1300 on the SAT and have exceptionally strong records of achievement in high school, including honors and advanced placement coursework and extra-curricular involvement. Qualifications for a merit scholarship will vary from year to year depending on the size and strength of the applicant pool.
All awards are renewable provided the student maintains a 3.0 GPA and remains in good standing with Fairfield University.
Scholarships Include:
University Fellows Scholarship: This highly selective program seeks candidates of the highest academic achievement as well as commitment to citizenship and public service. In addition to the $15,000 grant, University Fellows receive preferential registration, and a $1,000 research stipend.
Presidential Scholarship: This highly selective program seeks candidates who have an outstanding record of contribution, both academically and in the community. In addition to the annual $13,000 award, Presidential Scholars enjoy preferential registration.
Deans' Scholarship: Candidates must demonstrate high academic achievement and significant contributions to school and community. Deans' Scholars receive an annual award of $10,000.
Please Note: First-year students seeking to matriculate in the spring semester and transfer students are not eligible for consideration for merit scholarships.
Athletic Grants in Aid: Student-athletes are generally recruited by Fairfield University's coaches who identify the candidates on the basis of athletic skill. Prospective students should contact the Athletic Department directly to speak with a coach. |
