About Bellarmine Hall

Built in 1927, with sumptuous wood paneling throughout, Bellarmine Hall is a signature building located at the high point of the University campus. The mansion exudes charm, elegance and a gorgeous view of Long Island Sound. On a lovely evening, the view from the lawn outside Bellarmine Hall will be remembered long after the event is over.

The Great Hall within Bellarmine Hall is a charming and understated room, with floor-to-ceiling wood paneling. Adjacent to the Great Hall is the George C. Diffley Board Room. Both rooms can be used for smaller meetings or receptions. Natural light from the rooms’ southeast-facing glass windows creates a wonderful ambiance.

A patio just outside allows the Great Hall to be transformed into a larger meeting area, or even a lecture hall. The patio can be equipped with a podium and other audio equipment, providing the option for outdoor presentations or lectures, with guest seating on Bellarmine Lawn. The University holds annual Commencement Exercises here.
