The Egan School’s public health program is a prevention-oriented, multi-disciplinary field of study that combines science and social justice to promote conditions that protect and improve the health of people and communities.
Field Internships and Capstone Experience
Students are required to take an immersion field internship and complete a capstone experience. There will be opportunities to intern at diverse organizations such as intergovernmental agencies, humanitarian organizations, state public health agencies, and local hospitals. The capstone course will require students to apply the knowledge and experience they have gained throughout the program by completing an independent project under the guidance of a faculty member.
CEPH Accreditation
Fairfield University's four-year bachelor's program in public health is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health.
