Simulation Center

Being at the forefront of healthcare, Fairfield Egan expanded its innovative simulation pedagogy over the last several years through a new state-of-the-art simulation center as part of students’ clinical education. The simulation labs feature high-fidelity simulators, control rooms, and actors as standardized patients. Fairfield’s faculty has fully integrated simulation education into the nursing and health studies curriculum at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Working in a control room, the faculty establishes scenarios involving patients, evolving health conditions, and families, for students to learn how to react to a range of different clinical situations.
