Our skilled faculty will help you advance your career by empowering you to better understand complex issues and work more effectively.

Students are required to complete one full semester in the graduate program they are accepted into before applying to change to another program.

    Biomedical Engineering

    Fairfield University’s Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering is a degree that focuses on the application of engineering principles and design concepts to medicine or biology for healthcare. In this program, students will gain theoretical knowledge with hands-on experiential learning and practical application from industry, thus preparing graduates to become leaders in the field.

    Data Science

    Fairfield's MS in Data Science (MSDS) is an interdisciplinary program that equips graduates with the advanced technical skills to analyze, interpret, and turn data into actionable insights. The MSDS program draws students from many different backgrounds. Some come from engineering and computing. Others come from specific domain backgrounds such as biology, healthcare, behavioral sciences, or business. All have a desire to use data to make deeper connections within their field and drive decision-making.

    Electrical and Computer Engineering

    Fairfield University's Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering (MSECE) provides students with the knowledge and skills to innovate and lead in their chosen discipline, all within the framework of research and development in academic institutions, the industrial workplace, research laboratories or service organizations. The MSECE program includes areas of power and power electronics, and combines the study, design, and use of software and hardware systems.

    Management of Technology

    Fairfield University's Master of Science in the Management of Technology (MSMOT) endows students with the necessary knowledge, creativity, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills to successfully manage technology enterprises of all kinds. This is accomplished by the broad MSMOT curriculum, which includes courses from the MBA program in the Dolan School of Business. The program is focused on the use of management and business principles for projects related to technology.

    Mechanical Engineering

    Fairfield University's Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) is designed to serve the needs of practicing engineers, and those aspiring to an advanced degree in mechanical engineering and related specializations. Students will have the option of specializing in one of two broad concentrations: thermal systems or mechanical systems.

    Software Engineering

    Fairfield University's Master of Science in Software Engineering (MSSE) focuses on the skills in design, analysis, implementation, testing, and validation you need to develop sophisticated and successful software projects. Intended for working professionals, such as web designers and developers, and database administrators, the coursework is directly applicable to workplace tasks.

    Cybersecurity

    Fairfield University’s Master of Science in Cybersecurity (MSCYB) is an interdisciplinary program that equips students not only with the required techniques for detection, investigation, and analysis of existing cyber threats, but also the real-world comprehensive knowledge to manage, design, and implement secure systems to protect data assets — in any public or private domain — against the risk of cyber attacks and exposures. Offered through the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, and the MSCYB program allows students from any background to choose a concentration in either cybersecurity management or technology.

Five-Year BS/MS Programs in Engineering

Fairfield University School of Engineering & Computing offers five-year bachelor’s/master’s programs in each of our undergraduate disciplines – allowing you to reduce the time to a master’s degree by at least a year and providing you with the experiential learning and credentials you need to get your career off to a great start. You’ll graduate with the knowledge and confidence you need to create the next generation of solutions to complex technological and societal problems.

Certificate Programs

The School of Engineering & Computing Certificate Programs are for working professionals or lifelong learners who are looking to enhance a resume, improve skills, prepare for a job change, or explore a new field of interest. A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college is required, and a minimum of three years of professional experience is preferred.
