Since 1942, Fairfield University has built curriculums and designed arts and culture offerings based in the Jesuit tradition of the arts: to teach, to delight, and to move. Leonard Bernstein has conducted a symphony from back the steps of Bellarmine Hall; a young Billy Joel performed for students at Alumni Hall; Bernini and Rodin sculptures have graced our museum galleries.

Fairfield students have long been uniquely prepared in the arts in both theory and in practice and scores of alumni have uplifted communities and made key innovations in the arts both personally and professionally.

But, there has not been, traditionally, one place to view and experience all that’s happening on campus. The arts at Fairfield have largely been “best-kept-secrets” to those who have enjoyed them, but that is about to change.

Arts & Minds at Fairfield University is a new organization that brings all of the University's arts and culture programming, resources, and academics together in one place for our community to engage, to educate, and to inspire.

With a mission to deepen our connectedness — at time when the world needs it most — Fairfield Arts & Minds is a one-stop-shop to make the University your destination for theater, music, dance, talks, fine art, and community programming.

Regina A Quick Center for the Arts

As part of a Jesuit institution, Quick Center Programming aims to serve the intellectually hungry and perpetually curious, providing a space for the exploration of remarkable and inspiring performing arts opportunities for the Fairfield University community at large.

Fairfield University Art Museum

One museum, two spaces. In the Bellarmine Hall Galleries, the Fairfield University Art Museum displays its permanent collection alongside rotating special exhibitions. In the Walsh Gallery, located in the Quick Center for the Arts, the museum presents larger special exhibitions. The Fairfield University Art Museum (FUAM) inspires curiosity, creativity, reflection, and dialogue through its exhibitions, programs, and the collections in its care.

Student Organizations

By participating in art-related Student Clubs sponsored by Club Operations and Student Organizations (COSO), students gain first-hand experience in leadership, organizational development and management, decision-making, diversity, and event planning.

Academics

Fairfield University's Arts Institute in the College of Arts and Sciences provides a broad knowledge of the arts, and empowers students to understand and create artistic expression. Our program offers a hands-on learning approach to unlock the creative potential of our students while encouraging the curiosity, growth and development of the artistic spirit.

Beyond Campus

We have key partnerships with these organizations and school systems and make an impact by being involved on the ground floor everyday, supporting our community and arts education through free programming and curricular support. Fairfield county is an amazing place to visit and experience the arts.
