Admission to Fairfield Bellarmine

The admission process at Fairfield Bellarmine is holistic: assessing not only grades and academic foundation, but also looking individually at each student’s commitment to learning, their extracurricular and community involvement, and their life circumstances.

Our belief in the importance of a thorough and careful review of all aspects of each applicant’s background reflects our mission as a Jesuit institution. We seek to educate the whole person, and our admission practices reflect that goal.

Application Requirements for Fall 2024
  • Fairfield Bellarmine Application: Application is free and the form can be accessed online.
  • High School Transcript: Your transcript should be sent directly from your high school. In your application, you will be asked to enter your counselor’s contact information — an upload link will then be sent to your counselor. If not received, counselors may send all supporting materials directly to bc@fairfield.edu.
  • Essay: Choose one of four prompts to tell us more about who you are. Written, video, and creative pieces are all welcomed options for sharing your best self.
  • Letter of Recommendation: Only one letter is required but we strongly recommend sending at least two: from counselors, teachers, or others who can tell us about you.
  • Interviews: An interview is strongly recommended and a great way for us to: get to know you better, answer your questions, and offer you an opportunity to share the things you most want to make sure we know about you.
  • FAFSA Form: To be considered for financial aid, all students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form and send to School Code: 001385. If unable to complete the FAFSA, please contact the Office of Admission at bc@fairfield.edu or (203) 254-4100.

Admission will be merit-based and at minimal cost, giving primary consideration to families in need of financial assistance. If unable to complete the online FAFSA form, a printed and completed paper form will be accepted.
