Counseling & Psychological Services (C&PS) seeks to continue to provide a safe space to support all students and to assist in fostering a climate where all are heard and feel welcome.
There are many opportunities for emotional growth at C&PS, because not everyone makes it through college without experiencing some challenges along the way. All of our counseling sessions are provided in a supportive, caring, and confidential manner.
All students enrolled in classes at Bellarmine Campus are eligible for on-site counseling services.
Everything discussed in sessions with a counselor is confidential. Counselors will not consult with anyone outside of the Wellness Center, or outside of the University, without a student’s written consent. There are some important exceptions to this, including information about child or elder abuse, serious risk to human life, and court orders.
Students seek therapy for a variety of reasons. Many students come for counseling when life events or academic stressors leave them feeling troubled or distressed.
