Graduate Degree Programs

Engineering with a Higher Purpose.

If you’re hardwired to change the world, this is the school for you. As an engineering student, you’ll collaborate with fellow logical thinkers to learn how things work and how to make them work better, giving you the skills and foundation to solve the world’s engineering problems.

Biomedical Engineering

Fairfield University’s Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering is a degree that focuses on the application of engineering principles and design concepts to medicine or biology for healthcare. In this program, students will gain theoretical knowledge with hands-on experiential learning and practical application from industry, thus preparing graduates to become leaders in the field.

Data Science

Fairfield's MS in Data Science (MSDS) is an interdisciplinary program that equips graduates with the advanced technical skills to analyze, interpret, and turn data into actionable insights. The MSDS program draws students from many different backgrounds. Some come from engineering and computing. Others come from specific domain backgrounds such as biology, healthcare, behavioral sciences, or business. All have a desire to use data to make deeper connections within their field and drive decision-making.

Electrical & Computer Engineering

Fairfield University's Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) is designed to serve the needs of practicing engineers, and those aspiring to an advanced degree in mechanical engineering and related specializations. Students will have the option of specializing in one of two broad concentrations: thermal systems or mechanical systems.

Software Engineering

STEM Designated

Fairfield University's Master of Science in Software Engineering (MSSE) focuses on the skills in design, analysis, implementation, testing, and validation you need to develop sophisticated and successful software projects. Intended for working professionals, such as web designers and developers, and database administrators, the coursework is directly applicable to workplace tasks.

Cybersecurity

Fairfield University’s Master of Science in Cybersecurity (MSCYB) is an interdisciplinary program that equips students not only with the required techniques for detection, investigation, and analysis of existing cyber threats, but also the real-world comprehensive knowledge to manage, design, and implement secure systems to protect data assets — in any public or private domain — against the risk of cyber attacks and exposures. Offered through the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, and the MSCYB program allows students from any background to choose a concentration in either cybersecurity management or technology.
