Library About Assessment

Assessment Committee

Mission

Collaboratively explore, identify, adopt, and apply effective assessment processes for library operations and services.
The committee will focus on:

  • Continuing to educate themselves  on the current status of assessment in academic libraries in order to build and support a culture of assessment in our Library
  • Helping to develop, revise, and support goals created out of the Library's strategic plan in order to implement evidence-based assessment programs to measure student learning and organizational efficiency, and to promote continuous improvement. Automation of data collection will be emphasized.
  • Considering focused assessment approaches and projects to improve already existing workflows or help develop new ones in Library services, collections, and staff development.
  • Engaging with Fairfield University's Strategic Priorities to inform Library strategic plans and assessment efforts
