The holiday season can be a whirlwind, especially for parents striving for the “perfect holiday” experience. Receive valuable free tips from University experts on how to navigate the holiday chaos at "Treat Yourself to the Gifts of Mindfulness and Gratitude," a Campus Connect event, on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Fairfield University Store, 1499 Post Road, in downtown Fairfield.

This is the November 2024 edition of Fairfield University's Campus Connect series, featuring programs designed to share University research and expertise with the broader community.

Linda Roney, PhD, associate professor of nursing at the Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing & Health Studies, and Paula Gill Lopez, PhD, chair of the Psychological & Educational Consultation Department and director of the School Psychology program at the School of Education & Human Development, will share valuable tips on how to navigate the holiday chaos with mindfulness and gratitude - helping you to savor the season's joys.

Parents are encouraged to bring their children or other family members they care for. While the adults are engaged in guided mindfulness, Fairfield University nursing and psychology/education students will facilitate fun and relaxing holiday craft projects for the kids in an adjacent breakout room.

Why Attend?

  • To learn how to indulge without stretching the holiday budget.
  • To discover ways to find joy in the present moment.

This event is one of many held upstairs at the Fairfield University Store, located at 1499 Post Road in downtown Fairfield. Those interested in attending should register themselves and any children they wish to bring to "Treat Yourself to the Gifts of Mindfulness and Gratitude."
