Anca Micu, PhD, Joins Harvard Business Review Advisory Council

Dr. Micu is a senior associate dean of the Dolan School of Business and a digital marketing scholar.

Anca Micu, PhD, senior associate dean of the Dolan School of Business, has been appointed to the Harvard Business Review (HBR) Advisory Council. Harvard Business Review is a leading publication that provides insights and research on business and management.

As a member of the invitation-only HBR Advisory Council, Dr. Micu will contribute her valuable expertise to help shape the future of the business industry. “It is exciting to be at the forefront of new relevant content and to be able to provide input on it,” she said.

With a strong background in branding within higher education, Dr. Micu will leverage her years of research in marketing and advertising as she begins her new role on the council. She has published numerous articles in top-tier journals on the benefits of encouraging purposeful collaborations between faculty and marketing staff in higher education and she is recognized as a leading source for the latest advancements in the digital marketing field.

“As a marketing professor, I have been the editor of the American Academy of Advertising newsletter for four years, curating topics that guided academic research relating to advertising," said Dr. Micu. "My research has always been around advertising effectiveness.” 

Prior to her career in academia, Dr. Micu worked in advertising and continues to bring that experience to her teaching, leadership, and research at Fairfield Dolan. Her AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business) webinars on topics such as "Practical AI Applications for Accreditation" have garnered international attention. Honored to be invited to the HBR Advisory Council, Dr. Micu hopes to leverage her leadership and curriculum development expertise to benefit the broader business community, positioning herself to further grow and advance Fairfield Dolan.
