Head downtown to meet Coach Carly of the Fairfield Women's Basketball program at the first monthly Campus Connect speaker series event at the Fairfield University Store.
Fairfield University is proud to launch its new monthly speaker series, Campus Connect, with a September presentation at the downtown Fairfield University Store featuring NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Head Coach Carly Thibault-DuDonis.
Free and open to the public, Coach Carly will kick off the series on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. with a presentation titled “Recruitment Insights from Fairfield Women’s Basketball Head Coach Carly Thibault-DuDonis.” All are invited to the downtown bookstore for a conversation centering around Thibault-Dudonis' knowledge of college sports and experience with the recruitment process. The Stags head coach will cover topics for aspiring and current D1 athletes and their families, from "finding your fit" and "knowing your priorities," to "red flags for coaches" and "best practices for connection and communication.”
Coach Carly is a dynamic voice, both on the court and within the NCAA Division I landscape. After taking the helm of the Fairfield University Women’s Basketball program in 2022, she brought the team to its most historic season in history last year. Highlights include a 29-game win streak, achieving the team's first-ever AP Top 25 national ranking, being named 2024 MAAC Champions, and a trip to the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
The new Campus Connect speaker series will engage Fairfield's on-campus and off-campus communities in topical conversations hosted by a variety of local and University experts — from Fairfield faculty and staff to town government and school officials. Monthly events will be held in the newly renovated upstairs gathering space at the downtown bookstore.
