The Dolan Career Development Center provides professional development services for both undergraduate and graduate business students to enrich their academic experience, provide them with direct networking opportunities, and aid in securing the job of your dreams upon graduation.

As one of the Top Career Services (#22) according to the Princeton Review, the Dolan Career Development Center’s impact is reflected in the astounding 98.5% of graduate students reported that their graduate program prepared them for their current occupation and ultimate career goals according to Fairfield University’s 2024 Graduate Outcomes Report.

Amidst the over 100 events offered, check out some key spring 2025 events below!

Key Spring 2025 Events

  • Stags in Business: Over 150 students connected with 34 alumni and industry professionals, gaining insights on career advancement.
  • Employer in Focus – Henkel & Rockefeller Group: Over 80 students engaged directly with company representatives to learn about career opportunities, hiring timelines, and company culture.
  • New Level Work Leadership Coaching: Twelve Graduate students participated in a four-session coaching program focused on leadership development, decision-making, and personal branding.
  • Dolan Dean’s Executive Forum with Stephen Edison ’03: Edison, managing partner and executive at Boston Consulting Group spoke on From Algorithms to Impact: AI Trends and a Consulting Career.

Year-Round Programs & Services

KPMG hosts Snack n' Chat as part of the Career Development Center's various Snack n' Chat networking opportunities hosted in the Dolan School of Business lobby each semester.
  • Snack n’ Chat: Offered each semester, weekly. Casual networking on the first floor of Dolan with 20+ employers, fostering industry connections (e.g. CCI, Deloitte, EY, Henkel, Vineyard Vines, Travelers)
  • Professional-in-Residence (PIR) Program Available to Students: Twelve experienced professionals mentor students in areas like asset management, human resources, and luxury branding.
  • Individual Career Coaching (In-Person & Virtual): Daily personalized support for career exploration, resume and LinkedIn profile development, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
  • Dolan On-Demand Drop-In Hours: Graduate students accessed real-time career guidance, including resume reviews and LinkedIn optimization.
  • Money Talks: Financial Planning for Young Professionals: A two-part seminar on financial literacy and career transition strategies.
  • LinkedIn Headshots: Open to Dolan students to elevate their profiles.
  • Resume Expo: Students attend these to receive direct employer feedback.
