Peter Crowe ’27 and Colin Summers ’25 lead the way as First Team honorees.
The Fairfield University Golf program led the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with six All-MAAC honorees, which was voted upon by the league’s head coaches and announced on Wednesday, April 16. Peter Crowe ’27 and Colin Summers ’25 highlighted the awards haul as All-MAAC First Team selections.
This season marks the first time that All-MAAC honors were voted upon as a season-long award. Previously, All-MAAC honorees were denoted solely as the top finishers at the MAAC Championship. The league's major awards – Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Coach of the Year – will be determined at the conclusion of this weekend's Championship.
The Fairfield men had a league-high four honorees with Crowe and Summers joined by All-MAAC Second Team selections Tadgh Burke ’28 and Rasmus Ditzinger ’28. Fairfield women’s golf was represented by the All-MAAC Second Team duo of Julia Rabadam ’25 and Katelynn Waclawski ’26.
Crowe was Fairfield's top finisher in four of eight tournaments this season. He turned in four top-six individual finishes, highlighted by medalist honors at the Battle at Rum Pointe – leading the Stags to the team title at the event.
Summers earned All-MAAC First Team honors as Fairfield's most consistent player this year. The senior carded an average round of 72.7 (+1.1 to par) with a team-best nine rounds of par or better. Summers was Fairfield top finisher at the UConn Invitational and the SHU Spring Break Invite, which mark two of his team-leading six top-10 finishes in eight tournaments this season.
Burke has carded an average round of 75.6 (+3.9 to par) while playing in seven tournaments as a rookie. He fired five rounds at par or better, including all three of his rounds at the Loyola Intercollegiate as he set the pace for the Stags at the tournament. Burke finished in fifth place overall at the Battle at Rum Pointe.
Ditzinger's freshman campaign was highlighted by a ninth-place finish at the Metropolitan Intercollegiate and a team-leading seventh-place performance at the Lehigh Invitational. The rookie from Täby, Sweden has posted an average round of 75.3 (+3.6 to par) in 18 rounds over eight tournaments this season.
Burke and Ditzinger are two of only four freshmen to earn men’s All-MAAC honors, alongside fellow Second Team selections Róbert Leó Arnórsson of Manhattan and Kai-Jun Huang of Merrimack.
Rabadam led Fairfield this season with an average round of 80 (+8.3 to par) while playing in all nine tournaments to date. She was the Stags' top finisher at three events, including a sixth-place finish at the SHU Spring Break Invite.
Waclawski was just behind Rabadam with an 80.25 scoring average (+8.5 to par). She was the individual medalist at the Lehigh Invitational in October, highlighting three events in which she was Fairfield's top finisher.
The MAAC also released its All-Academic Team on Wednesday. To be eligible, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher with a minimum of two complete semesters at their current institution.
Fairfield men’s golf placed three student-athletes on the ledger: Anthony Naples (Finance and Business Analytics), Colin Summers (Finance) and Joey Vandergeest (Finance).
Rabadam (Marketing) and Waclawski (Marketing) were also two of Fairfield's four women’s golf All-Academic honorees alongside Lucy Fowler ’25 (Finance) and Juliette Prud'Homme ’26 (Communication). The quartet represents every Fairfield women's golfer who was eligible for the honor.
