The Women's Basketball program and the Leo D. Mahoney Arena will be on display for a national television audience on Thursday, March 6, as the Stags’ home game against Siena has been selected to air on ESPNU. The on-campus contest tips off at 7 p.m.
"We are looking forward to the opportunity to play on national TV on March 6," said Head Coach Carly Thibault-DuDonis. "It's great to have such a good matchup accessible to a national audience, especially at Mahoney Arena – one of the best facilities anywhere in the country."
Coach Carly has led the Stags into the national conversation following a historic 2023-24 campaign. Fairfield finished that season at 31-2 – including an unbeaten run through the MAAC regular season and postseason – and entered the national polls at #25.The Stags have continued their success this season, currently standing at 23-3 overall and a perfect 17-0 against MAAC foes. Fairfield received a vote in the latest Associated Press national poll and is ranked #9 in this week’s CollegeInsider.com Women’s Mid Major Top 25.
Prior to next Thursday’s game on ESPNU, the Stags will host crosstown foe Sacred Heart this Saturday, March 1 at Mahoney Arena at 7 p.m.
