Fans of behind-the-scenes stories will not want to miss author and visual artist Jonathan Santlofer’s insightful and intriguing discussion of art history and historical fiction in an OVF: Espresso Lecture titled "The Lost Van Gogh: Nazi Looting, Interpol Agents, Art Sleuths on a Mission."
The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts, in partnership with the Fairfield University Art Museum and the College of Arts and Science's Art History Department and Department of Visual and Performing Arts, will host Jonathan Santlofer for the first Open VISIONS Forum: Espresso lecture of the spring 2025 season on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Dolan School of Business Event Hall.
A renowned author and visual artist, Santlofer will discuss his latest novel, The Lost Van Gogh – a fascinating thriller blending art history and mystery, featuring masterpieces and masterminds. The author will escort us through his epic art-puzzle narrative and into the "high stakes world of theft, forgery, and murder."
Santlofer’s other books include the memoir The Widower’s Notebook, an international bestseller that has been translated into 22 languages; The Death Artist; Anatomy of Fear, which won the Nero Award for Best Crime Novel of 2009; and The Last Mona Lisa.

The Open VISIONS Forum: Espresso lecture series cultivates inspiring, thought-provoking conversations with experts and panelists on various artistic, political, and cultural topics.
