Run With the Stags This Weekend at Alumni Hall

George Bisacca Court at Alumni Hall

Women’s Basketball hosts Hofstra on Saturday, Men’s Basketball challenges William & Mary on Sunday.

Fairfield Men’s and Women’s Basketball will both take to George Bisacca Court at Alumni Hall this weekend for non-conference action. The slate starts on Saturday with the women hosting Hofstra at 2 p.m. and continues at 2 p.m. on Sunday as the men challenge William & Mary. Tickets for both games are on sale now at FairfieldStags.com/TIX.

Fairfield Women’s Basketball is coming off of a 66-52 win over visiting Navy on Wednesday evening at Alumni Hall. Head Coach Joe Frager’s squad was led by 17 points from Lou Lopez-Senechal ’22 and a well-rounded statline of seven points, eight rebounds and four assists for Katie Armstrong ’20. Hofstra is also entering the matchup following a Wednesday evening home win as the Pride took a 51-39 decision over visiting Morgan State.

Head Coach Jay Young and Fairfield Men’s Basketball are coming off of the signature win of the 2019-20 campaign to date. The Stags knocked off SEC opponent Texas A&M last Sunday at the ESPN Orlando Invitational live on ESPNU, sparked by 34 points and a program-record 10 three-pointers for Landon Taliaferro ’20. Taliaferro is the only player in the nation this season with 10 three-pointers made in a game against Division I competition. William & Mary will bring a 6-3 record to Alumni Hall, most recently topping Old Dominion on Tuesday by a count of 63-46.
