The enthusiasm for this STAGiving Day was truly amazing. On April 25, the Fairfield community came together to celebrate and support academics, experiences, and traditions. With 3,753 alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and friends making gifts, $1,463,548 was raised for today’s students’ education. The University is incredibly grateful for the Fairfield community’s support in exceeding the STAGiving Day goal of 1,942 donors.

“On behalf of the entire University, I would like to say ‘thank you’ to every person who took the time to help make this STAGiving Day the best yet,” said Vice President of University Advancement Wally Halas. “Even five years after the initial STAGiving Day, our alumni, parents, and friends continue to increase their level of generosity and commitment to our University. It makes me so proud to be a part of this very special community that is dedicated to ensuring that Fairfield continues its legacy of excellence.”

This year, STAGiving Day participants had the option of choosing either a red or white exclusive “1942” Fairfield hat with a minimum gift of $75. “We were thrilled by our community’s enthusiastic response to the hats this year,” said Senior Director of Annual Giving William Knapp. “We can’t wait to see them worn by our Stag family.”

Fairfield also launched a Venmo account, @Fairfield-UniversityGiveAGift, making giving even easier for the community. “The University’s Venmo account is a new tool for us,” Knapp explained. “So, it was exciting to see so many gifts come in through this avenue. Being able to provide an alternative and simple giving method for our supporters is just another way to make it as easy as possible to support Fairfield’s mission.”
