After leading Fairfield men’s lacrosse and ranking among the nation’s best in scoring in 2020, Dylan Beckwith ’20 has been named an All-America Honorable Mention by Inside Lacrosse. He is the Stags’ first All-American since 2016, when TJ Neubauer ’16 and Colin Burke '19 both earned Honorable Mention status from the USILA.

Also named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List earlier this week, Beckwith was in the midst of a historic season for the Stags in 2020. The senior attackman racked up 42 points through seven games, comprised of 17 assists and a team-high 25 goals. He ranked tied for fourth place in the nation with a CAA-leading 6.00 points per game. Beckwith was also slotted 18th in the nation and first in the conference with 3.57 goals per game, and he sat 15th nationally and third in the CAA with 2.86 assists per game.

For his career, Beckwith concluded the shortened 2020 season ranked fourth all-time at Fairfield in points (162), points per game (3.24) and assists (82) while slotted third in assists per game (1.64), 11th in goals (80) and 10th in goals per game (1.60).

Beckwith is Fairfield’s first Inside Lacrosse All-American since the list was established in 2017. Overall, he is the ninth Stag to earn All-America laurels from a major outlet since 2002.

The Stags finished the 2020 season with a 5-2 record, including a 4-0 mark on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium.
