The Princeton Review Includes Fairfield Among Best 389 U.S. Colleges

Fairfield also made the "Best in the Northeast, 2024" listing.

Fairfield University has once again been named among the nation's best institutions for undergraduates, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company has profiled approximately 15 percent of America’s 2,600 four-year colleges and universities in the latest edition of its annual college guide, The Best 389 Colleges: 2024 Edition.

The Princeton Review chooses the colleges for the book based on data it annually collects from surveys of 2,000 college administrators about their institutions’ academic offerings. The company also reviews data from its surveys of 165,000 college students attending the schools, who report on their experiences at their institutions.

The 389 colleges included in The Princeton Review’s guide are not ranked from 1 to 389 on any subject, however, each school’s profile has eight rating scores in categories including: academics, admissions selectivity, financial aid, fire safety, quality of life, green, interesting professors, and accessible professors.

For its “2024 Best Colleges: Region by Region” web feature, The Princeton Review salutes 630 colleges it deems academically outstanding, grouped in seven zones — Northeast, South, Southwest, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, West, and International (outside of the United States). Fairfield University was once again included among the Best in the Northeast category.

The Princeton Review is an education services company known for its tutoring, test-prep, admission services, books, and other learning resources. The Princeton Review’s education services and products include online and in-person courses delivered by a network of more than 4,000 teachers and tutors; online resources; more than 150 print and digital books published by Penguin Random House; and dozens of categories of school rankings. Founded in 1981, The Princeton Review is now in its 42nd year.
