The Fairfield University Art Museum welcomes all to a Valentine's Day in-person meditation and mindfulness event.
This Valentine's Day, join Jackie DeLise for an in-person guided "Self-Love and Healing" meditation class on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 5 p.m. in the Fairfield University Art Museum's Bellarmine Hall Galleries. Participants will learn how to cultivate inner calm and clarity with a focus on self-love.
“We are pleased to continue to offer these sessions in the galleries, as one of many ways that art helps to foster a healthy community,” said Carey Mack Weber, the museum's Frank and Clara Meditz Executive Director. “One of the best places to experience mindfulness is at a museum, because art invites you to be present and to focus completely on the object in front of you.”
Instructor Jackie DeLise is a master certified meditation and mindfulness teacher and stress management expert, and the author of The Art of Calm and Creating a Culture of Presence & Belonging. No prior experience for the Feb. 14 is necessary. Noted Weber, “Engaging mindfully with art can help you appreciate it more fully, and it might also help you gain some of the broader benefits of mindfulness.”
The meditation session is free and open to the public, but advanced registration is necessary. To learn more about Jackie DeLise, please visit thewelleryllc.com.
