The University’s Career Center hosted a successful Spring 2023 Career & Internship Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 15, with more than 620 students attending the annual event. Roughly 110 employers — representing every industry and including about 25 alumni — set up informational booths to meet with students of all years and majors. 

“The career fair was a great opportunity to meet employers from my field of interest,” said Taylor Donovan ’24, a marketing and business analytics major. “It was a great way to form tangible connections in an industry that I hope to enter into in the next few years.”

This popular event provides students a unique opportunity to engage with employers in a comfortable setting to learn more about jobs and internships — in industries they are interested in, ones they don’t know about, and ones that they may have overlooked in the past.

Some of the companies represented were Bank of America, Bic, FBI, Henkel, M&T Bank, NatWest Markets, Perkin Elmer, Prosek Partners, Travelers; the top accounting firms such as BDO, EY, and PWC; and healthcare employers, including CT Children’s Medical Center, Nuvance Health, and Yale New Haven Health. Students also had the opportunity to meet with various non-profits, like Jesuit Volunteer Corps and Peace Corps.

“It was great to be back on Fairfield’s campus for the 2023 Career Fair, this time recruiting for the BIC team,” said Niamh O’Gorman ’18, a senior manager of recruitment marketing and talent acquisition experience at BIC. “Meeting with students to share my own journey was a great full-circle moment for me. It was fantastic seeing the next generation of Stags excited about entering the workforce.”
