Fairfield University Athletics has earned five awards from the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA), as announced last week at the organization's annual convention in Orlando, Fla. The Stags' marketing team claimed three golds in addition to a silver and a bronze. Fairfield was also a finalist for the national Marketing Team of the Year Award.

"Thank you to NACMA for recognizing our marketing team with these awards," said Vice President for Athletics Paul Schlickmann. "Like all awards, these honors represent a team effort throughout our department and university. Everybody in Athletics External Relations and Marketing as well as our partners in Ticketing, Advancement, Sponsorships, Communications, Design and Digital Print, and Game Day Operations have all shared in the planning and execution of these initiatives, and should all share in the pride that comes from being recognized for their dedication. I would be remiss to not also commend our student-athletes and coaches for enthusiastically and whole-heartedly trusting our team to help create an exciting atmosphere around their games and their programs."

Fairfield earned gold in the categories of Ticket Revenue Campaign, Sponsorship Campaign, and Lead Generation Campaign. The Stags collected silver recognition in Quick Sales Campaign and a bronze in Multiplatform Branding Campaign.

The Stags were a Marketing Team of the Year finalist in "Group 2" alongside DePaul University and the winning department from the College of Charleston. The "Group 1" winner was the University of Maryland, and "Group 3" honors went to UNC Pembroke.
